Bettas living conditions

whenever i go to petcetera, it disgusts me to see that almost all of their bettas are half dead on the bottom of their tiny dirty cup.

Agreed. Bettas need a fully cycled aquarium, complete with a heater, filter, thermometer, and anything else that you would give normally to other fish. Not a 5 Gallon jar or a cup.

yes, but before i didnt know that and i had one in a half gallon bowls/tank. They all died.

It's okay, as long as you learned from your mistakes. Just don't do it again!

I certinly have. I am only keeping tropical schooling fish now. much more entertaining.
